About the artwork
The image was inspired by a memory from my trip to Tahiti. As a child, I loved an animated parrot who constantly asked people if they had been to Tahiti. That playful line stayed with me for years. One day I imagined him finally there — riding the famous Tahiti wave.
In this painting, a girl and a haloed parrot surf the same wave together. She moves with quiet grace, he with mischievous confidence. Different energies, yet perfectly in sync — sharing the same moment of joy.
