About the artwork
This image emerged in Argentina, near the Iguazu Falls. Along the road, there were warning signs: “caution, jaguars.” At a certain moment, reality seemed to shift: I imagined a jaguar stopping in front of this sign — and looking at it.
And the sign, in turn, seems to look back. They meet each other’s gaze — and remain suspended in that moment.
At the center of the work is not movement, but a pause. The jaguar and the sign enter a state of mutual observation. A system created by humans becomes part of nature — and then something changes. The sign no longer informs. It participates. A space appears where two realities look at each other.
The linocut technique intensifies this state: strong contrast, sharp lines, and the removal of everything unnecessary. The image becomes almost a sign itself.

About the technique
Linocut is a manual printmaking process where the image is carved into the surface and printed by hand.
Each impression carries subtle variations in ink, pressure, and texture — making every piece slightly different.
This preserves the presence of the artist’s hand in every print.
The result is a rare balance between edition and individuality.

Why collectors respond to this work
This piece belongs to Aleksandra Koblova’s biophilic magical realism practice — here expressed through radical reduction.
While her paintings are known for softness and color, this work reveals the structural core of her language: presence, trust, and quiet connection — distilled to its essence.
Collectors value this work for its restraint, material honesty, and the rare ability to create impact without excess.

Biophilic effect
Visual contact with wildlife imagery has been shown to reduce stress and restore attention.
This work creates a space of pause — where perception slows down, and clarity begins to return.
