About the artwork
The idea appeared while snorkeling in Rangiroa, French Polynesia. I suddenly came face to face with a needlefish — long, unusual, and unexpectedly graceful. For a moment I froze underwater, smiling at the quiet beauty of the encounter. Later I imagined a girl standing on the fish like a tightrope dancer, perfectly balanced between motion and stillness.
This painting celebrates harmony within contrast. The swift movement of the fish and the calm presence of the girl create a shared rhythm — a reminder that balance sometimes appears naturally when we allow ourselves to simply be present.
